Lawrenceville is located approximately 30miles of downtown Atlanta. It makes up just 3 percent of the Gwinnett County’s total population while the size of the city is relatively bigger than other cities in the county. Although major employment centers such as Gwinnett Medical Center, Georgia Gwinnett College, and Gwinnett County government are ongoing strong, the city has not witnessed great growth beyond these. To make a better environment for every aspect of quality life of the residents, city has plan to create neighborhood that are more friendly to walking, more urban-style, and mixed use communities to attract more population.

Lawrenceville has blooming community of arts and cultural scene. Aurora theater is fastest growing professional theatre in the state and new projects such as expanded Arts Complex and Hooper Renwick School will continue to boost quality of life in Lawrenceville.
